Liz Ramsey graduated from Saint Louis University School of Law with a J.D. and a concentration in Criminal Litigation Skills.
She assisted in the exonerations of Cornell McKay and Brad Jennings.
In 2019 she and her father and law partner Robert Ramsey were awarded "Case of the Year 2018" by the Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers for their work on the Jennings case.
Liz has experience in clemency petitions, post conviction and trial level criminal defense work.

Mr. Ramsey graduated from Saint Louis University Law School in 1979.
After beginning his career as an Assistant Public Defender in St. Louis, he gained extensive trial and appellate experience in state and federal courts, both criminal and civil. He was mentored by Norman London.
He has successfully tried murder cases, federal drug cases and other serious offenses.
He has obtained multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements in personal injury cases including numerous cases involving injured railroad workers.
Mr. Ramsey obtained the release of Mark Woodworth, wrongfully convicted of murder, by the Missouri Supreme Court in 2013, after laboring for nearly 12 years before obtaining evidence hidden by Missouri prosecutors.
Mr. Ramsey also worked to exonerate Cornell McKay and Brad Jennings and obtained habeas corpus relief for Shanon Swickheimer resulting in his release from the Missouri Department of Mental Health in 2016.
He received the Sean O’Brien Freedom award in 2018 for his efforts to right wrongful convictions, the Legal Champion award from Missouri Lawyers Weekly in 2015 and the Case of the Year Award in 2019 from the Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers for his work in Jennings v. Norman and State v. Brad Jennings.
