"It's about damn time," said Dallas Jennings, of Buffalo.

He had just heard the news that Brad Jennings, his father, will not be tried for murder a second time.

The office of Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley made the announcement at 5 p.m. Thursday, a day before a hearing on the case was scheduled in St. Louis.

"It's exciting to finally have it over," said Dallas Jennings, now 23.
